Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Eudora, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Bidders shall file with their bid a bid bond by a company authorized to do business in the State of Kansas, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of their bid. Such bid security shall be made payable to the City Clerk of Eudora, Kansas. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening. The proposed work consists of approximately 8,200 SY of 2" HMA mill and overlay, 810 SY of full-depth patching, 902 SY of concrete pavement (8"), pavement removal, 2,167 LF of curb & gutter removal, 1680 LF of curb & gutter replacement, 480 LF of 4' wide concrete sidewalk (4"), ADA ramps, pavement markings, and traffic control. All work is to be in accordance with KDOT specifications and project specifications. A performance and statutory bond will be required. The agreement will include a two-year warranty period for materials and workmanship. A sales tax exemption certificate will be furnished for materials incorporated into the project. Bid price should include other required taxes. 90 calendar days All questions related to the project shall be directed to Phil Ellsworth or Chad Musick, 785-312-0565. Work is to be completed within 90 calendar days. The Notice to Proceed will be issued when requested by Contractor, but not later than July 1st, 2024. There will be one progress payment at approximately the midpoint of the project and a final payment within 3 weeks of completion and acceptance of all work. Prior to beginning work, Contractor shall submit a certificate of insurance including Workers Compensation, Compensation General Liability, and comprehension Automobile Liability including bodily injury and property damage. The City reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest and best, responsive and responsible bidder for the work covered by the bid and to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted. The City may reject bids from bidders without adequate qualification, poor past experience or for inadequate references.
