Renovation and addition to a municipal facility in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,500-square-foot municipal facility; and for the addition of a 1,817-square-foot municipal facility.

The Project consists of the restoration and renovation of Hamilton Town Hall (approx. 12,500 GSF), a new addition (1,817 gsF), and complete site work. Construction is historic wood framed, twostory with basement, wood siding, wood windows, asphalt shingle roof, and vault. New addition is to be wood framed, two-story with basement, wood siding, wood windows, asphalt shingle and EPDM roofs. Systems include hydraulic elevator, full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology and security, and fire protection systems. Question Deadline 06/20/2024 All questions and requests for clarification or interpretation of the meaning of the bidding documents shall be in writing, addressed to the Architect at the address stated in the Invitation to Bid, and to be given consideration must be received at least seven days prior to the date fixed for opening of bids Bid Security shall be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates. Bid Security in the form of cash, or a certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Owner must be submitted with a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form and received by the Owner before the time of bidding. In addition, the Bidder must also submit a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form with their E-Bid Successful General Bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract Amount. Such bonds shall be with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the form satisfactory to the Awarding Authority It is agreed that time is of the essence of this Contract. The successful Bidder must agree to commence work upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed from the Owner, and to cause the work for this Contract to be Substantially Completed within Four Hundred Twenty-five (425) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
