Site work, renovation and addition to an elderly care / assisted living facility in Barrie, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 27,000-square-foot, one-story above grade elderly care / assisted living facility; for the addition of a 6,800-square-foot, one-story above grade, 64-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.

Operating since 1968, Grove Park Home (GPH) for Senior Citizens is a 143-bed not-for-profit, licensed, Long Term Care Home located in Barrie, Ontario. This project will focus on significant renovation of two existing resident home areas referred to as, "Maple" and "Aspen" with 62 C-Class beds. It will include new construction with two new resident rooms comprising of approximately 15% of the total project. Much of the existing exterior walls of the home areas will remain, while most of the interior will be removed and redesigned to incorporate requirements of the 2015 Design Manual. Upon project completion, the Home will be established with five home areas for a total of 145 beds. Between Phases 1 (Maple) and Phase 2 (Aspen), complete scope of work includes approx. 27,000 sq ft of renovations and approx. 6,800 sq ft of addition for a total of 64 additional beds. Phased project as follows: Phase 1- Maple addition, renovation, day program renovation and link addition, main entrance canopy - handover. Phase 2- Aspen addition and renovation, café renovation. *Award amount was not released for publication. Project has however been estimated at approx. 17.5 million. TIMELINE: Construction is expected to begin in May 2025. Anticipated completion (phased) September 2027.
