Contract A - 2020 Rural Development Glen Water Treatment Plant Redesign The Project includes the following Work: Installation of a control system internal to the plant that will start/stop: 1) existing wells that feed raw water to the plant; 2) an induced-air aeration unit; 3) chemical feed pumps; 4) control the internal functioning of package plant treatment units; 5) high service pumps 6) a backwash pump. Installation of an induced-air aerator. Installation of duplex peristaltic chemical feed pumps to feed potassium permanganate, hypochlorite (NaOCl) sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and polyphosphate. Installation of a post-aeration in-line static mixer and internal plant piping and valves. Installation of two 0.5 MGD parallel pre-manufactured treatment units each consisting of a tube sedimentation basin and a green-sand filter. Installation of five 650-gallon bulk chemical storage tanks, one 300-gallon bulk chemical storage tank and six 35-gallon chemical day tanks. Construction of poured in-place reinforced concrete chemical containment area. Construction of poured in-placed reinforced concrete clear-well. Installation of two 525 gpm vertical turbine high-service pumps. Installation of one 1,200 gpm vertical turbine backwash pump. Construction of a 90X100 premanufactured metal building with associated doors, mechanical conditioning systems and lighting to house the package plant units, chemicals storage tanks, chemical feed pumps, chemical storage tanks, finished water pumps, backwash pump and a motor control center. Construction of a reject water storage pond. Finished grading, paving and fencing of a partially graded and fully cleared site. Installation of yard piping, power cabling and communication cabling between the existing water treatment plant and the new water treatment plant. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $7,500,000. The Project has an expected duration of 540 days.
