General Contractor Services for Home Rehab. The County of Greene, an "Equal Opportunity Employer", will receive proposals for General Contractors to complete a home rehabilitation project in Bobtown. This service will be funded in part by grant funding through the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement (PHARE) Program administered by the County of Greene and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency(PHFA). The home rehab program is seeking General Contractors with a current Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) License and insurance to rehabilitate this home to correct code deficiencies. Required general contractor services for this project may include, but are not limited to: roof replacement, gutter replacement, and furnace replacement (to include photo documentation at required intervals) and, with consultation with the County Housing Inspector, securing and documenting of related costs for the needed work write- up repairs. The general contractor shall procure and maintain (at its expense) subcontractors to complete any area of work which the general contractor is not qualified to complete (i.e., HVAC or other areas requiring licensure for which the general contract is not licensed to complete nor employs any worker possessing such qualifications). Contracts will be signed between the Contractor and the Homeowner(s), with the County managing the project and providing payment to the contractors at the following intervals: 25% progress, 50% progress, and completion. Contractors must be able to work effectively and amicably with Program Staff, homeowners, and inspectors involved in the projects.
