As of 5/31/2024 this project was cancelled without awarding. Bid came in over budget. Additional information on the rebid is not yet available. a) Excavate the site for a 1600 sq. ft. home with a 2-car garage. b) Backfill around the home and compact the soil in lifts. Contractor must backfill the interior to the top of the footing with gravel. c) Install the Sewer, water, and power laterals. d) Prepare the driveways and garage for concrete with 4" of gravel over the top of the compacted dirt. e) Load and export 1,400 cubic yards of dirt from the site. f) Final grade. g) Fill window wells with gravel. h) Install a 4' tall concrete block retaining wall in the rear of the home and backfill with dirt behind it. i) Excavate a level opening on the next lots to store GSD storage containers. j) Contractor needs to be available to start digging by the first of July. Contractors will be required to provide bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid amount, at the time the bid is submitted, if the total bid amount is $50,000 or greater. The bid bond, check or cash of the accepted contractor shall be forfeited in the event contractor fails or refuses to enter into a contract and/or fails to furnish the additional bonds required herein. The successful contractor must submit to the gsd school board full performance and payment bonds in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price for any job that is $50,000 or greater.
