Summer Street Pump Station Generator Replacement. Estimated Cost $275,000 Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Casey Jr., P.E., william.casey@arcadis.com Questions received less than seven calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The Work is located in the Town of Danvers, Massachusetts at the Summer Street Pump Station located at 178 Summer Street. The existing standby generator is not operational. A trailer-mounted standby generator is connected to the existing electrical system and provides temporary standby power. The wastewater pumping station shall remain active throughout the work. B. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to: 1. Providing all materials, equipment, labor and supervision for the replacement of the existing generator at the pump station. 2. Transportation and disposal of debris removed during demolition of the existing generator and concrete pad and construction of the new concrete pad and generator. 3. Disconnecting existing and installing longer leads and connections between the existing trailer-mounted standby generator and the existing electrical system. This allows the trailer-mounted generator to be relocated during demolition of the existing and installation of new permanent standby generator. Work includes relocating the trailer-mounted generator away from the immediate work zone while providing standby power to the pump station during construction. 4. Provide temporary bypass pumping system allowing the bypass of wastewater flow during the shutdown to connect the new standby generator. The Project includes the following Work: Providing all materials, equipment, labor and supervision for the demolition and replacement of the existing natural gas generator at the Summer Street wastewater pumping station in the Town of Danvers, Massachusetts. The Work also includes demolition of the existing foundation, pouring of a new foundation to set the generator approximately 2-feet above the existing elevation, and all appurtenances to complete the Work, including cleanup and disposal of debris.
