Residential Pavement Maintenance - Phase C. Question Deadline 05/20/2024 at 4:00 PM PT The deadline for submitting questions about this project. All Bids Shall Be Presented Under Sealed Cover and Shall Be Accompanied by Cash, Cashier's or Certified Check or a Bidder's Bond Executed by a Corporate Surety Insurer. The Bidder's Guarantee Shall Be in an Amount Equal to at Least Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid and Made Payable to the City of Concord. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor or Class "C-12," Earthwork and Paving Contractor. The bidder's attention is directed to the section of the Special Provisions regarding the requirement to enter into a Project Stabilization Agreement ("PSA") for City construction projects funded in whole or in part with City of Concord funds where the engineer's estimate or bid amount exceeds $750,000.00. The PSA also includes Helmets to Hardhats requirement. A copy of the PSA is attached and incorporated by reference. The work to be done in general butnotlimited to consist of mobilization; traffic control; water pollution control program; installing of new roadway pavement section; capeseal; coldplan and overlay asphalt roadway; removal and placement of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) materials; removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, curb ramps and driveways; reconstruction of valley gutters at intersection; lowering and adjustment of utility covers to finish grade; removal and replacement of traffic striping and pavement markings; in stalling of bikegreenstriping and markings; relocating roadside signs; and all other work shown on the Plans and asspecified in these Special Provisions. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, will be valued by the City's Finance Director, whose decision on valuation of the securities will be final. The estimated construction cost of the project is $5,200,000.
