Renovation of a municipal facility in Marysville, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,720-square-foot municipal facility.
Yuba County is seeking proposals from qualified and properly licensed contractors to remove existing hard flooring and install Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) in the main hallways throughout the Yuba County Government Center located at 915 8th Street Marysville, CA 95901. The County is also seeking three required (3) alternate proposals to install LVT in additional areas of the facility and one (1) optional alternate to recommend a different layout design for the primary bid and alternate 1. This work is subject to payment of prevailing wages under Labor Code Section 1720 et. seq. and 1770 et. seq., which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance on certain "public works" and "maintenance" project, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if total compensation is $1,000 or more, contractor agrees, to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws, if applicable. Email, postal mail or hand-delivered questions are permitted Requests for Information May 29, 2024 Funding for this project is budgeted for fiscal year 2024-2025; work to be completed before June 30, 2025. Seasonality will not impact project schedule. Please see section 2.7 for project schedule requirements and details. In proposal submission, Contractor must provide proof of ability to provide a performance bond and payment bond, pursuant to CIV 9550 and PCC 10221 respectively, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of total project cost. Prior to award of the contract, the Contractor must submit the performance and payment bonds, in the form of a bond and not a deposit in lieu of a bond. The bond shall be executed by an admitted surety insurer, pursuant to CIV $9554 and PCC $10221 respectively. Services, at the address on the cover page of this RFP. Specifications and General Requirements: This project will require several mobilizations, based on the size of the facility and the working hour limitations. Contractor will be responsible for removal of old hard flooring and other generated debris. The primary project areas are seven (7) main hallways that total approximately 4,720 square feet, as outlined in yellow in Exhibit 1 (Amended). Area two (2), outlined in orange, totaling approximately 1,000 square feet is the main Lounge and is alternate proposal #1. Area three (3), outlined in green, are several coffee bars and small break rooms totaling approximately 960 square feet and is alternate proposal #2. Area four (4), outlined in pink, are additional hard floor spaces throughout the facility totaling approximately 1,930 square feet, and are alternate proposal #3. The County would also like to receive an additional optional alternate proposal, alternate proposal #4, for the contractor to design a different layout for the primary and alternate #1 floor spaces. Contractor shall include three (3) alternate proposals. Alternate proposal 4 is not a requirement, but would be appreciated. Contractor is responsible to verify square footage. All the areas to have LVT are located in the floor plan in Exhibit 1 (Amended). County personnel will remove small and personal items, prior to commencement of work. Contractor will be responsible for moving and/or lifting and replacing all workstations, cabinets, cubicles, and other furniture. Contractor will be required to remove and dispose ofthe existing flooring, scrape and prepare the slab using hand scrapers or other approved mechanical means to remove any old adhesive, mold or mildew. This area does have moisture; Contractor will be required to supply and apply Standard Cure Kostervap I 2000 Waterproofing System Moisture Barrier (or equivalent) to all areas to have LVT installed. Contractor to acquire and install ROPPE Vinyl Cove Base Black/Brown-193 4" or 4.5" as required (or equivalent).
