Annual installation of sidewalks for various streets located in the City of Attleboro including: Installation of new & used granite curbing & remove & dispose existing sidewalks. Concrete Sidewalks: Estimated amount: 2,600 square yards of Concrete Sidewalk Contractor responsible for the following: o Obtain Sidewalk Opening Permit ($150 per Street) o Notification of DIG SAFE o Saw cutting of existing bituminous concrete o Excavate and prepare for placement of concrete o Remove & dispose of existing sidewalk material (City to provide disposal location) o Compact and level new base material o Form & place new concrete to broom finish appearance (all new concrete to meet ADA requirements) o Supply and install wire mesh material at aprons and curb corners o Contractor shall be responsible for overseeing concrete set up to a point where any vandalism will not affect the concrete o Supply and install new expansion joint material o Install expansion joints every 20 feet o Install metal sign stubs (supplied by City) o Install expansion joints (square) around any utility poles, hydrants and mail boxes with-in sidewalk o Driveways to have wire mesh in 6" of Concrete o Control joints shall be every 5 foot o Install Handi-capped ramps (City to supply detectable/tactile warning tiles) o Utility service boxes with-in sidewalk area, are to be brought up to finish grade o Miscellaneous bituminous patching at driveway aprons and from saw cut to face of granite o Contractor shall supply and install sealer for concrete with City approved sealer (W.R.
