Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a transportation facility in Blountville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond from a Surety Company acceptable to the Owner or a cashier's check or certified check made payable to the TriCities Airport Authority for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid. A 100% contract bond will be required upon successful bid as part of the execution of the project contracts. Proposals/bids are required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for the duration outlined in General Contract Provisions 30-02, but the Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bids received, to the extent permitted by applicable law, and to accept any bid which, in its sole discretion, is in the best interest of the Owner. The proposed project consists of three elements. The first is the approximate 1,250' extension of Taxiway A. The proposed extension provides a direct taxi route for aircraft to the Runway 23 end which will improve safety by minimizing unnecessary taxiway diversions as well as providing additional parking/maneuvering area around the passenger concourse. The second element isthe removal of the portion of Taxiway C between Taxiway A and Runway 5-23 due to the direct access and potential "hot spot" that this section of taxiway creates. Finally, the Project will improve the runway safety area grading at the Runway 5 end, near the Wheeler Cemetery, to bring safety area grades into compliance with FAA Advisory Circular recommendations.
