Renovation of an educational facility in Bostic, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Scope of Work 1. Structural a) Removal of the current chain link fencing and batting cage to allow for building construction. b) Replacement of chain link fencing removed for construction. c) Grading, preparation, and pouring of a monolithic polished concrete slab. d) Insulated walls with metal clad siding and roofing. e) Steel door jambs, steel doors, and 12' roll up door. f) Wood or Steel framed building 80' x 50' which will be selected during the conceptual design phase. g) Gutters and downspouts h) Interior buildout will consist of i. Interior office 10'x10' ii. Interior storage closet 10'x6' iii. (2) 10'x10' rooms with access from exterior and interior of building. iv. Remaining area of building to be open practice area with artificial turf flooring 2. Plumbing a) Installation of waste lines that will tie into the existing septic system. b) Installation of water lines, which will be tied in from existing. c) Installation of (2) single stall restrooms accessible from outside the building for spectators. d) Installation of (1) interior locker room that includes (2) toilet stalls, (2) showers and (2) sinks that are only accessible from the interior of the building. 3. Electrical a) Installation of 200-amp power feed from existing adjacent building. b) Installation of lighting adequate for athletic training (50fc) c) Installation of lighting for administrative, locker room, restroom, and storage areas. 4. Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning a) Design and Installation of HVAC system for all interior spaces. 5. Painting of interior walls Rutherford County School's is seeking proposals for the design and construction of the East Rutherford High School Women's Training facility. This facility will be a dedicated facility for the training and development of high school athletes, specific to females. Final award will be made by the Board of Education during the final June business meeting. Any prospective proposer may protest in writing to the Finance Officer within three (3) calendar days of the date of the award. Rutherford County Schools may exercise its right to require a protest bond or irrevocable letter of credit from a protesting party when applicable. All work construction activities must be completed between June 1, 2024, and January 30, 2025. Construction must adhere to all applicable building codes. Access to existing athletic facilities must be maintained during construction. The proposed building is intended to be a modern facility that caters specifically to the needs of high school athletes. The facility is to be a flexible space with indoor training areas for batting cages, pitching mounds, locker rooms, administrative areas, and storage. The goal is to create a conducive environment for skill development, team building, and overall well-being of the athletes. Questions and responses will be posted to the website of original posting.
