Description WHO: -Kraus-Anderson is the selected Construction Manager for preconstruction and construction efforts. -DSGW Architects is the lead designer & architect with Northland Consulting Engineers (Civil & Structural), CMTA (Mechanical and Electrical) and B32 (Ice Rink) acting as the design consultants. -The Owner is the City of Hermantown, with user input provided by the Hermantown School District and Hermantown Hockey Association. WHAT: The overall project consists of the expansion and renovation of the existing Hermantown Arena, including adding a second sheet of indoor ice, locker rooms, ice plant, Zamboni room, mezzanine, and renovating and reconfiguring existing space. -This Bid Package is #1 of 2. -This Bid Package is for Sitework, Building Structure and Long-Lead Equipment. WHERE: -The new building will be attached to the existing Hermantown Arena, across the street from the Hermantown High School. -The site is an existing flat area consisting of existing outdoor skating rinks and green space. WHEN: -Bid Package #1 is anticipated to commence work in June, 2024. All bids must include the Responsible Contractor Affidavit of Compliance with their bids. A blank copy of this form can be found in the Files for your use. Any additional proposals or clarifications you want to submit are always appreciated, but not required. The Owner has tax exempt status, so the construction project is exempt from sales tax. All tax-exempt material must be broken out separately on the bid form as indicated. Payment & Performance bonds are required of all bidders. Include the costs for the bond in your base bid amount.
