Work performed under this contract will consist of the following: Providing all materials and labor to abandon approximately 140 linear feet of existing buried 36-inch pipe, remove approximately 10 linear feet of existing 36-inch pipe below the Coweeman levee ordinary high-water mark, remove existing siphon breaker and manhole rings, install owner supplied 300 horsepower vertical centrifugal pump and motor in the existing pump station building, furnish and install electrical and control system equipment as specified, furnish and install new 36-inch steel pipe, approximately 140 linear feet in length, with all required fittings, valves, and appurtenances, site restoration, and all other work as specified herein and as shown on the drawings The Contracting Agency will not provide paper copies of the Project bid documents for this project for bidding purposes. All bids must be submitted on the regular bid form furnished within the project specifications and each must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the work, as prescribed in the bidding documents. Question Deadline 05/23/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
