Bids shall be valid for 90 Days after the bid opening date. All bidders must register on OpenGov Procurement. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to download all bid documents for review before submitting a bid. Any Addenda will be posted on OpenGov Procurement. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to check OpenGov Procurement on a daily basis through the close of bids for any applicable addenda or updates. The City does not assume any liability or responsibility based on any defective or incomplete copying, scanning, downloading or printing of the bid documents. Information on OpenGov Procurement may change without notice to prospective bidders. The Contract Documents shall supersede any information posted or transmitted by OpenGov Procurement. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, perform necessary engineering, design, installation, and testing of a 6kW DC solar and 31.6kWh battery system for POM B631. Scope of Work or Project Details In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, perform necessary engineering, design, installation, and testing of a 6kW DC solar and 31.6kWh battery system for POM B631. The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, methods and processes, implements, tools, equipment, incidentals and machinery except as otherwise specified, which are necessary and required to complete the contract in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner. The intent of the plans and specifications is to prescribe the details for the construction and completion of the work which the Contractor undertakes to perform in accordance with the terms of the contract. Where the plans or specifications describe portions of the work in general terms, but not in complete detail, it is understood that only the best general practice is to prevail and that only materials and workmanship of the best quality are to be used. Engineers Estimate $122,000.00 An original certified check or cashier's check payable to the order of the City of Monterey, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount shall be uploaded with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bid bond must be notarized, include the embossed surety seal, and include a Power of Attorney if the signee is not an officer of the surety. The original certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond must be received by the City no later than 1 p.m. on the Bid Opening Date. In order to ensure that the original certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond is received by the deadline, the City recommends bidders use express mail or personal delivery. The original shall be addressed to: City of Monterey ATTN: Finance Director 735 Pacific Street, Suite A Monterey, CA 93940 Please have the Bidder Name, Contract Title ("B631 INSTALL SOLAR AND BATTERY SYS (POM 23-053)"), and Contract Number ("TBD") listed clearly on the outside of the envelope. Bidder's failure to submit the certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in accordance with the terms herein may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. Further, the amount so posted shall be forfeited to the City if the Bidder does not, within fifteen (15) calendar days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to said Bidder, enter into contract with the City for the work.
