The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: renovation of two educational facilities. As of May 20, 2024, a construction manager has been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. The project consists of renovations of two Willard Public Schools. Willard North Elementary Located at 409 S. Farmer RD, Willard, MO, 65781. Willard Middle School Located at 205. Miller Road, Willard, MO 65781 NORTH ELEMENTARY IS THE BASE BID and the MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT IS ALTERNATE #3. Please note there are 7 ALTERNATES TOTAL The project consists of Site Demo, Building Demo, Concrete, CMU, Masonry Veneer, Metal Stud Framing, Rough Carpentry, Doors, Windows, Hardware, Misc Items, Gypsum Board, ACT Ceiling, Flooring, Painting, Specialties, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical. The bidders understand that the CM and the Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the best responsible bidder, and to reject any or all bids and/ or to waive any and all technicalities or informalities in the bidding. (Refer to Division 00 documents for a clarification on evaluating lowest responsible bidder). No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids. The Owner shall retain an amount of 5% of the cost of construction throughout the Construction Period. The retainage will not be reduced during the project and will only be released as a part of the CM's final pay application. This project DOES comply with the current MO DOL Prevailing Wage Order for Greene County, MO #31. See Section 00 51 00 for Wage Order. A Performance and Payment Bond may be required of the successful bidders in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. The bond amounts will need to be listed on the bid form in the space provided. It shall not be included in the Bid Package total Base Bid or Alternate(s Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of (30) thirty days. Real Damages/Delay Damages in the amount of $500.00 per calendar day and Liquidated Damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day may be assessed every day that work is not completed per the Construction Schedule and after the scheduled final completion date is not achieved.
