Reference Number 0000353075 The Town of West Springfield, through its DPW, is seeking sealed bids from qualified contracts for 2024-2025 Supply of Hot and Cold Mix Asphalt and Aggregates . All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M, inclusive as amended. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Payment Bond 50 %. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield. A Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price will be required of all Successful Bidders awarded a contract. We anticipate purchasing approximately $85,000.00 in combined total from all awarded contracts of road maintenance materials under this bid; however additional funds may become available which would allow us to purchase more. These dollar amounts are for bidding purposes only and are not a commitment of expenditures for this contract. This is a "Unit Price Bid". This will be a "Unit Price" contract for materials to be picked up at the bidder's hot mix plant periodically throughout the term. The contract term will be August 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. The Town intends to award up to three (3) Unit Price contracts under this procurement. *The Town of West Springfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding if it be in the public interest to do so.
