**As of June 26, 2024 project was awarded but awarded amount is not available.** The County is seeking to update all irrigation equipment at several areas within Micke Grove Regional Park. The areas have been identified as: 1. Rose Garden Area 2. Pixley/Middle River 3. Scout Area 4. Bear Creek 5. Ball Field Add Alternate: o Removal of current irrigation system. o Installation of an isolation valve on the old system to leave in place. These are the oldest irrigation systems within the park still using galvanized steel pipe. The San Joaquin County Parks & Recreation Department in coordination with the County's General Services Department are seeking the replacement of the systems with a system and equipment that promotes water conservation and energy efficiency. Last day for Bidders to submit questions by 5:00 PM (For clarification prior to submitting BID) Monday, June 03, 2024 Last day for County to answer questions by 5:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2024 The County is open to contractor design of the system. Contractor should ensure that overlap coverage is included in the operation of the system. Owner Rights: The County reserves the right to review submittal plan which should include proposed drawings of the irrigation system and equipment to be used. Bond Notes: An amount not to be less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid. If the enclosure is a check or bond, it is made payable to the County of San Joaquin.The undersigned agrees that the enclosed cash deposit, cashier's check, certified or surety bond accompanying this bid, shall be left on deposit with the County Purchasing Agent, that its amount is the measure of the liquidated damages which the County of San Joaquin will sustain by the default of the undersigned through failure to execute and deliver the above agreement and any required bonds within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of the award of the contract and that the money or surety bond so deposited by the Contractor shall be collectible and become the property of the County of San Joaquin in case such default. Within ten (10) days of the execution of this Agreement, or as otherwise specified by the County, the Contractor shall furnish original performance and payment bonds to the County, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount not to be exceeded under Section IV of this Agreement. The required performance and payment bonds shall be submitted in a form acceptable to and approved by the County, and shall be executed by the Contractor and a surety (or sureties) acceptable to and approved by the County. Materials and Equipment: The County is requiring the following materials and equipment to be used for this project: o Installation of new flow meters, pressure sensors, and "smart" meters at the master valve which will result in a system shut down when large pressure loss is detected (break in the line). o Installation of new main line schedule 40 pipe o Main line fitting tees and 90s, schedule 80 o Main line shut off valve: Iron with square nut for off/on o Installation of irrigation valves: 2" plastic rainbird scrubber valves o 2" ball valves schedule 80 for irrigation valve shut off o Irrigation Clocks Hunter ICC - Preference - County is open to suggestions that promote higher efficiency and water conservation o Irrigation sprinklers 1" hunter I-40s stainless steel o Irrigation wire: 14 AWG o Installation and connection to a SCADA monitoring system with open ended versatility and able to accept future expansion. o Variety of sensors to promote watering efficiency and conservation. Work to be completed in 180 working days.
