The County of Yuba is looking for a qualified, properly licensed contractor for professional services to replace the main electrical switchgear located in the main electrical panel room in the basement of the Yuba County Courthouse located at 215 5th Street, Marysville, CA 95901. Brief Project Description: Yuba County is looking for a properly licensed electrical contractor to replace the main electrical switchgear located in the main electrical panel room in the basement of the Yuba County Courthouse, 215 5th Street Marysville, CA 95901. In addition, the county is asking for two (2) alternate proposals. Alternate #1 entails replacing the 480 volt control centers in the basement boiler room. Alternate #2 entails replacing the remaining electrical panels in the main basement electrical room. This work is subject to payment of prevailing wages under Labor Code Section 1720 et. seq. and 1770 et. seq., which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance on certain "public works" and "maintenance" projects, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if total compensation is $1,000 or more, contractor agrees, to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws, as applicable Question Deadline 06/05/2024 Construction Schedule: Funding for this project is budgeted for fiscal year 2024- 2025; work to be completed on or before June 30, 2025 Bonds. In proposal submission, Contractor must provide proof of ability to provide a performance bond and payment bond, pursuant to CIV 9550 and PCC 10221 respectively, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of total project cost. Prior to award of the contract, the Contractor must submit the perfonnance and payment bonds, in the form of a bond and not a deposit in lieu of a bond. The bond shall be executed by an admitted surety insurer, pursuant to CIV 9554 and PCC 10221 respectively. Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll. Prior to project commencement, County will create a DIR Project with the California Department of Industrial Relations for Contractor to report all wages for the project. In addition, Contractor shall remit electronic copies of certified payroll to Yuba County Administrative Services, to Nicholas Whitley at nwhitley@co.yuba.ca.us.
