Milling of Various City Streets All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City Treasurer of the City of New Brunswick in the amount of ten percent of the bid, not to exceed twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars. Bids for contracts that require a performance bond must also contain a consent of surety. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. According to 40A:11-23, the City of New Brunswick is prohibited from receiving bids on Mondays or any day directly following a State or Federal Holiday. This project shall be completed within 30 calendar days of written authorization to proceed. Any request for extension must be authorized by the City.
