The Project consists of constructing 42 LF of curb. 62 LF of Retaining wall, 84 SY of 6" concrete slab and other site improvements at the Village of Bluford Sewage Treatment Plant. A 5% bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Contractor and Sub-Contractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as found by the Dept. of Labor or as deter- mined by the Court of Appeal, to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILC$ 130/1-12). Also. the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin The owner may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all BIDS. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a BID within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the con- tract cannot be awarded with- in the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and the BIDDER.
