The bids shall provide the cost for furnishing all necessary equipment, materials, labor, related services, permit fees and complying with all related Federal (EPA, OSHA, and HUD), State and Local regulations for the following: Base Bid (Lump Sum) Work involves removal and replacement of up to one hundred twenty-five (125) existing residential HVAC systems. Scope will include but not be limited to removal and disposal of non-working HVAC systems, installation of new equipment that will efficiently heat and cool the type and size of dwelling unit. Industry standard and certified start-up and testing will be required. No bids will be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, or certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC and authorized to do business in North Carolina in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount. As an alternate, a 5% bid bond issued by a corporate surety licensed by the State of North Carolina may be filed with the bid.
