The McDuffie County Board of Commissioners are soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the 2024LMIG Resurfacing in McDuffie County and the City of Thomson for the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners. The lowest responsive and responsible contractor will be required to enter into separate contracts with McDuffie County and the City of Thomson. Completion Date for the contract is October 31, 2024. All contractors shall submit with the bid, a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid made payable to the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners. Successful contractor will be required to meet insurance requirements, submit a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond. Insurance and Bonding Company must be authorized to do business in Georgia by The Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of Treasury's Publication of Companies holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies, and must have an A.M. Best rating of A-10 or higher. McDuffie County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award as deemed in its best interest. McDuffie reserves the option to negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s) at its discretion.
