The fraser valley regional district (Fvrd) Is seeking proposals from contractors with demonstrated capacity, capabilities, and experience to provide professional painting services for the repainting of the poolbasin at the fvrd recreation centre in hope, british columbia (The services). The project entails applying ramuc high build epoxy paint, including a white base coat, black race lines, and a red depth line, to the poolbasin. The total area to be painted encompasses approximately 453m2, comprising 413m2 for the basin walls and floors, 40m2 for the race lines, and 2m2 for the red depth line. Contractors are invited to submit a quotation using the form attached to Schedule A (the Quotation) in accordance with the following specifications: Specifications: 1. Pool Basin Preparation: Ensure that the pool basin is prepared according to the manufacturer's recommendations for surface preparation to facilitate optimal adhesion of the paint. 2. Paint Application: Apply the paint to the pool basin as per the manufacturer's recommendations for coverage. This entails administering two coats of Ramuc High Build epoxy paint, incorporating a white base coat, black race lines, and a red depth line. 3. Cure Time: Allow sufficient time in the project timeline to accommodate the manufacturer's recommended cure time, ensuring the paint sets properly and achieves maximum durability. 4. Provision of Tools and Supplies: Furnish all necessary tools and supplies required for the project in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. This includes, but is not limited to, providing appropriate ventilation, personal protective equipment (PPE), basin access equipment, ladders, scaffold, and safeguards to protect surrounding areas and equipment from paint and overspray. 5. Compliance: Ensure that the project complies with all relevant regulations, including those outlined by Workplace Safety and Health authorities. 6. Timeline Sensitivity: The project timeline must be sensitive to allow for the manufacturer's recommended cure time and the timely reopening of the facility within the specified shutdown period. 7. Workmanship Warranty: The project must be accompanied by a warranty for the workmanship, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the manufacturer.
