Renovation of a mixed-use development in Waialua, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work generally consists of retrofitting the existing gymnasium to become a hurricane shelter. The scope of work includes, but not limited to, replacement of existing metal roof deck with a new metal deck supported on new purlins, replacement of horizontal bracing, fenestration and building envelope components such as windows and doors. The estimated construction cost is between $4 million and $6 million. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The estimated value of the public works contract is $250,000 or more and the apprenticeship agreement preference pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes 103-55.6 (ACT 17, SLH 2009) shall apply. To be eligible to submit a Bid, the Bidder must possess a valid State of Hawai'i Contractor's license classification (s) B.
