Site work and renovation of an educational facility in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS), pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 26A, will be publishing a request for statements of qualifications (RFQ) for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services to provide Preconstruction and Construction services for the Hoover High School Secure Entrance project. The project is located at 4800 NW Aurora Ave., Des Moines, IA 50310. The Project is expected to include: (i) removal of existing interior security vestibule and entry doors; (ii) building addition to include new security vestibule containing student and visitor check-in reception desk; (iii) construction of new administrative office space within existing building foyer; (iv) new and renovated HVAC systems; (v) new and renovated electrical and building security systems; and (vi) associated site work to serve the new entrance. The CMAR will be chosen using a two-step solicitation process: (1) Request for Qualifications and (2) Request for Proposals. The firms deemed to have the met the qualifications based on the following selection criteria will then be offered the opportunity to submit a proposal to serve as CMAR for the project: Firm Information Proposed Methodology Prior Project Experience & Performance Safety Record Current Capacity to Perform Compliance with Iowa and Federal Laws Question Deadline 06/17/2024 Inquiries deadline Tentative Contract Award by District Board 09/10/2024
