The Project includes the following Work: The project shall include the removal of a single existing vertical turbine pump, motor and pump head and blind flange piping to allow for the remaining pump to operate. The contractor to supply and install one (1) new motor and pump along with new/rehabilitated pump head. The contractor shall also replace existing discharge check valves and associated spool piping. Question Deadline 07/08/2024 at 4:00 PM ET, All questions prior to the bid opening must be received by the close of business. As bid security, each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond made payable to the Town of Binghamton, in accordance with the amounts and terms described in the Instructions to Bidders The Owner requires that all bids shall comply with the bidding requirements specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner may, at their discretion, waive informalities in bids, but is not obligated to do so, not does this represent that the Owner will do so. The Owner also reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Under no circumstances will the Owner waive any informality which, by such waiver, would give one Bidder a substantial advantage or benefit not enjoyed by all other Bidders. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) after the actual date of the opening, unless a mistake due to error is claimed by the Bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. There is no pre-bid conference requirement, however, the contractor must visit the site to familiarize themselves with the project.
