Attachment E1 (formerly E3) - Intelligent Buildings o This attachment has replaced Attachment E1 - Building Envelope Systems and Components in its entirety. o The number of Sub challenges for this attachment was reduced from 3 to 1. Attachment E2 (formerly E4) - Thermal Storage o This attachment has replaced Attachment E2 - GSHP Cost Compression in its entirety. o Additional Sub challenges were added to this Challenge Area. Other Attachments and Forms o Attachment A - Proposal Narrative was updated to reflect Round 8 changes listed above. o Attachment A - Proposal Narrative was updated to reduce complexity. o Attachment B - Concept Paper Template was added. o Attachments E2a, E3a, E3, and E4 were removed. o Attachment F - Sample Agreement updated to reflect NYSERDA's current terms and conditions The NYSERDA Advanced Buildings program seeks to reduce the energy use of NYS consumers through advancements in the performance and capabilities of economically viable building solutions. By supporting building innovations, the program will enable buildings to be more energy efficient, load flexible, and resilient. Many building innovations have the additional benefit of improved indoor air quality and quality of life for consumers, providing not only economic value, but improved occupant comfort as well. This solicitation seeks to attract solutions that directly benefit low to moderate income and disadvantaged communities across NYS and it will focus resources on the successful commercialization of building innovations. In addition to articulating the technical innovation, proposers must describe their commercialization strategy, including: customer discovery and channel strategy, competitive landscape, intellectual property, fundraising needs, manufacturing and scale-up, key partners, and team qualifications and development.
