This work will require placing a 0.5" intermediate scratch course and a 1.5" surface course of SS 823 Asphalt Concrete. The surface course will be placed with a minimum depth of 1.5" over the crown or highest portion of the roadway. All driveway approaches will be paved and tapered sufficiently down to driveway grade when SS823 is laid. Item 617 compacted aggregate will be placed 1.5' wide and 2" thick along the edge of the road and traffic will be maintained.
