Site work for a civil project in San Bruno, California. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Rehabilitation and upgrade to the Crestwood Pump Station including replacement of key components, installation of a new replacement discharge force main along a different alignment than the existing one, new gravity sewer pipe and manholes, new pump station, water service replacement, new electrical power and control, standby generator, bypass pumping, building upgrades, paving, grading and miscellaneous site improvements. All work items shall be constructed in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work. A California Class ''A'' contractor's license is required to bid on this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. If approved by the City, construction equipment and materials may be stored within the public right-of-way but must be moved every five (5) days as construction progresses. Material storage at the construction site shall be limited to what is needed for five (5) days construction. No construction material shall be stored over the weekend unless approved by the City Engineer. Operating reflector barricades shall be required for all equipment and material left on the street overnight. At the end of each workday, all loose material, parts and debris must be cleaned up and discarded and any stored materials shall be neatly stacked and organized. Failure to comply with these requirements shall result in liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per Calendar Day. Per owner all bids were rejected, and this project will re-bid at a future time and date TBD. The construction site and any off-site staging areas must be secured by a temporary chain linked fencing with a minimum height of 72 inches. Unless the building code requires additional protection. The chain link fence is to be made of galvanized steel and must include a top and bottom rail. The fencing must be adequately anchored to prevent movement and the effects of wind. No visible gaps in the in the fencing are allowed, including between panels or under them. Gates must be sliding or inswinging and closed tightly with no gaps in or around them. Any construction site or staging area fencing facing a public roadway shall include a sign, securely installed on the fence hat is made of durable and waterproof materials that provides the following information: the name and emergency contact telephone number of the general contractor. The sign lettering shall be large enough to be read from 10 feet away and the sign shall not extend above the top of the fence. The sign language and graphics need o be approved by city staff prior to installation. CONTRACT TIME: All work under this contract shall be completed within 280 Working Days from the Notice to Proceed effective date. The City shall assess liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per Working Day for delays in completion of the project, as provided in the Contract Documents Cash, cashiers check or certified check, payable to the order of the City of San Bruno, of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a bond in said amount payable to the City of San Bruno and signed by the Bidder and a corporate surety shall accompany the bid.
