Renovation of a residential development in Star Lake, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Summary of Work: Prep and Paint exterior of House and outbuildings. Prep and paint home interior Prepare interior and exterior of house and outbuildings, then paint all surfaces. The vendor shall provide all Materials and labor necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Certified Payrolls must be submitted at time of completion. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work if supplied. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no materials or equipment, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of interior and exterior house and outbuilding painting, before removal of equipment, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent or his/her representative. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Scrape loose paint from exterior of house and any outbuildings. 2. Prepare the exterior of house and outbuildings for painting including repairs. 3. Paint exterior of house and outbuildings 1st with primer and then 2 coats of exterior paint. Color to be decided by OPWDD staff. 4. Patch and prepare all interior walls, and prime as necessary. 5. Prepare all interior trim and woodwork. 6. Paint interior walls with 2 coats of interior paint. Color to be decided by OPWDD staff. 7. Refinish all interior trim and woodwork to match original finishes. 8. All work is to be performed by OSHA standards. 9. All paint debris must be cleaned up by Contractor. Facility Address: 6 School St Star Lake, NY 13690 The work required for this project, Exterior Painting of a 4 bed Community Residence and garage, consists of the inspection of all outside areas identified at the suggested site visit. It is the intent of this project to have all previously painted surfaces properly prepared prior to painting. Painting over un-sanded, blistered, or peeling paint will not be accepted. Corrective action shall be done at the sole expense of the contractor. The contractor shall repair in kind all walls and surfaces prior to painting. The contractor shall furnish all necessary materials and labor required to paint the exterior of structure including walls, railings, windows, trim, doors, and frames. The contractor shall install painters' tape as needed to protect adjacent surfaces and provide tarps for walkway and area protection. The exterior painting as indicated in this scope shall be scheduled to not interfere with the activities of the individuals and staff at this location. Work must be scheduled to start within 30 days of receiving the material All materials used on this project shall be as hereinafter specified for brand quality. For establishing a standard of quality, the following brand shall be used: Sherwin Williams Interior or Exterior Latex Paint (or equivalent). All paint shall be delivered to the project site in labeled, unopened containers. The use of interior oils or thinners and quick drying additives will not be allowed. The contractor shall paint one (1) coat of primer and two (2) coats of finish coat to all surfaces identified for painting. The primer coat for bare wood surfaces, metal, walls, ceilings/eaves and where specified, the finish coats shall be of the same manufacturer for compatibility and for best adherence.
