Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cicero, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Project consists of the construction of a new park facility including an inclusive playground, driveways and parking lot, landscaping, lighting, fencing, walkways, and sidewalk. Bidders can include site remediation in their proposals as an optional Add Alternate. Questions shall be directed to: enunez@ccsdifference.com. The deadline for questions is 2:00 p.m., June 07th, 2024. Contract Goal to be Achieved by Vendor: This solicitation includes a specific BEP participation goal of 30 % of the total dollar amount of the contract. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Town of Cicero for a period of Sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. The successful Bidder for the construction of the improvement will be required to file a Payment and Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees, which Performance Bond shall be conditioned upon proper and faithful performance by the Contractor of the work specified in accordance with the Plans and Specifications therefore, according to the time and terms and conditions of the Contract; and also that the Bidder and Contractor shall properly pay all debts incurred by the Contractor in the execution of the work, including those for labor and materials furnished. The Contractor shall be required to furnish sufficient insurance or guaranty of indemnity to Town of Cicero, Illinois, and the County of Cook, Illinois, against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of the Contractor or Subcontractor(s), or their officers, agents, employees or servants, during the construction of said improvement and until the said improvement has been finally accepted as complete by the President and Board of Trustees of the Town of Cicero, the right to reject any and all Proposals or Bids is reserved. Anticipated Award Date: 06/26/2024
