Bids Received After This Date And/or Time Will Not Be Accepted And Will Be Returned Unopen To The Sender. The Purpose Of This Project Is To Remove And Dispose Of An Estimated 55 Trees Of Various Sizes And Varieties From The Cemetery Grounds. Key Components Of This Project Include: Remove Trees, Grind All Roots, And Remove Any Debris From The Surrounding Area From The Cemetery Grounds.after Removal The Remnants Of The Tress Must Be Chipped And Distributed In The Rear Of The Property. Additional Chipping Includes Existing Trees That Were Previously Removed And Left At The Back Of The Cemetery Property.removal Of The Trees May Require Existing Markers To Be Photographed In Place, Moved In Order To Remove Roots, Etc. And Replaced Back In Their Original Site, With Care Of Handling And Alignment To Site. All Bids Received By The Deadline Shall Be Reviewed By The General Manager. All Bids Must Include All Requested Scope Of Work, Conform To The Project Standards/specifications And Be Responsive, Accurate, And Cost Reasonable. This Project Is Facilitated By The Mohave Water Agency And Falls Under The Davis-bacon Act, Requiring The Selected Contractor To Register With The California Department Of Industrial Relations And Submit Certified Payroll As Well As All Required Insurance. Barstow Cemetery District Will Select The Contractor To Perform All Work Required And The Contract Will Be Executed Between Barstow Cemetery District And The Winning Contractor. You Are Reminded To Bid Only On Those Items Designated In The Scope Of Work. In The Event The General Manager Should Request Additional Work Or Deletion Of Any Work From The Write-up, Or Should You Feel Additional Work Is Required, Those Items, Along With The Costs, Shall Be Listed On A Separate Piece Of Paper Or Letterhead Stationery And Submitted As A Change Order. All Additional Items Will Be Considered Separately From The Base Bid And Consideration Of Any Changes Will Be Negotiated With The General Manager After The Bid Opening. As A Public, Independent, Self-governed District, Barstow Cemetery District Has The Right To Reject Any And All Bids At Their Sole Discretion. Should You Have Any Questions Or Concerns About Any Of The Items On The Work Write-up, Please Contact The General Manager For Clarification Prior To Bidding. You Are Reminded That Your Bid Should Be Inclusive Of All Taxes, Fees, Permits And All Other Costs. Upon Selection Of The Winning Contractor, Barstow Cemetery District Will Send A Bid Award Notice To The Selected Contractor. The Bid Award Notice Will Advise The Selected Contractor Of The Date, Time, And Location Of The Pre-work Conference That Must Take Place Before Any Work Can Begin. Upon Satisfactory Completion Of The Pre-work Conference, Barstow Cemetery District Will Issue A "Notice To Proceed" Which Must Be Executed By The Selected Contractor As Well.
