Point Pinole Trail Riparian Restoration Project - Tree Removal The District is seeking proposals from experienced, reputable, and qualified Licensed Timber Operators and Tree Service Contractors to remove $60,000 of Eucalyptus, Redwood, and blackberry within Point Pinole Regional Shoreline as part of an ongoing restoration project to restore fresh water riparian connectivity to the Bay marshes. Projected Board Approval of Contractor Selection: July 30, 2024 or September 3, 2024 Work Period: August-October 2024 The District reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, to modify the terms of the Request either before or after the deadline for submission of proposals, to negotiate with one or more of the submitters, to call for additional proposals, to refrain from accepting any proposal, or to elect to perform work in only part of the project area. All proposals become the property of the District and are subject to public disclosure laws. Proposals shall be submitted with attachments and shall conform to the requirements set forth in these instructions. Award of this Contract will be based on the best value to the District, as indicated by the bidder's qualifications, the quality of the proposal, and treatment acreage. The District will carefully investigate each bidder's background and experience in managing large scale integrated tree removal and vegetation management programs and in complying with all required local, State and Federal rules and regulations. Because the District has a predetermined the budget not to exceed $60,000 for this project, offers will be evaluated on non-price factors including proposed methodology and timeline, past related work experience, and how the contractor will manage possible impacts on the environment and the public.
