This contract includes the replacement of water meters system wide, as well as meter radios only where meters were recently replaced. Project scope includes any related work that may associate the meter replacements throughout the City to perform the work to the standard provided by the City and outlined in the specifications. There are four additional separate contracts as part of this DWSRF FY24 project, which includes replacement of watermain (Contract 1), installation of a new well and wellhouse (Contract 2), lead service line replacements (Contract 3), and water storage tank improvements (Contract 4). In addition, there are lead service line replacements outside of the DWSRF project area that are expected to be completed. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. City reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered Plan Holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Contract times: Substantial Completion – 336 days, Final Completion – 364 days 07/01/24 Engineer’s letter of recommendation to Owner 07/02/24 to 07/03/24 Owner’s financing review 07/08/24 Owner’s tentative award of construction contracts, Council Notice to proceed will be issued no later than 10/27/2024.
