This contract consists of countertop refinishing and re-glazing of porcelain bathtubs and sinks. The supplier must be able to complete all jobs outlined in this contract The color or design pattern shall be pre-approved by the University, prior to starting the work. o The counter area must be prepared by masking the walls and floors off with masking paper and tape before beginning the work. o The counter must be then scuff sanded to aid in a mechanical bond to the surface. o Any repairs to the Formica are to be performed using Bondo and or glazing putty. o A 2- part, low VOC acrylic paint shall be applied via HVLP spray gun for a "base coat". o The speck design is achieved by using multi-speck water base suspended paint particles mixed with a 2-part polyester clear coat. This product must be applied via the HVLP system with multiple passes of the gun. o An evacuation system shall be used during the entire spraying process to ventilate the area. o Product should dry to the touch in 20 minutes while the masking paper is removed and discarded by the supplier. o The countertop shall be then caulked using a non-silicone base caulk along the area where the counter meets the walls by the supplier. o The counter shall be completely cured in 24-48 hours and ready for use. o Product must be warranted for 13 months against peeling, chipping, and flaking Location of this work is in the kitchens or bath and shower areas of all residence halls and apartments maintained by the Office of Residential Life on the Baton Rouge campus of Louisiana State University, Agricultural and Mechanical College. All or None- Bid shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive supplier for all items. Please note attached insurance requirements. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a certificate of insurance evidencing required coverages and naming the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College as an additional insured on all liability policies. This solicitation is issued to establish a term contract for the specified goods and/or services for the period beginning 7/1/2024 and ending 6/30/2025 in accordance with all specifications, terms, and conditions.
