The work generally consists of furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required for the construction of a 12" Treated Effluent Forcemain which consists of approximately 25,640 LF of HDPE pipe including approximately 540 LF of Jack and Bore and approximately 942 LF of Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) installation methods. The work also includes construction of a 10" Raw Wastewater Forcemain which consists of approximately 20,140 LF of HDPE pipe including approximately 440 LF of Jack and Bore and approximately 577 LF of Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) installation methods. This project is located generally paralleling the ROW of FM 150, Hays County, Texas 78619. Scope of Work The work specified in this section consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and other services as necessary for preparing the site for work, the excavating, preparing the trench for the underground utility to be altered or installed, the backfilling and compaction. The excavation and backfill aspects of the work required for installation of underground utilitiesshall meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) and all local rightof-way authority requirements. The work specified in thissection consists of furnishing and installing underground utilities using the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) method of installation for pipes of various sizes, also commonly referred to as directional boring or guided horizontal boring. This work shall include all services, equipment, materials, and labor for the complete and proper installation, testing, restoration of underground utilities and environmental protection and restoration.
