The major work consists of installing an Owner furnished skid mounted sludge thickener and WAS feed pump, constructing concrete foundation, furnishing and installing site pipe, polymer feed system, electrical and instrumentation, startup, and other miscellaneous work at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Livingston. The time for completion is forty (40) working days. No Pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. In accordance with the provision of Section 3300 of the Public Contract Code, at the time this contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess a Class A or C-34 California State Contractor's License. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county, or counties, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available online. Future effective general prevailing wage rates, which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in the general prevailing wage rates. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each proposal shall be accompanied by cashier's or certified check, or by a bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Livingston and executed as surety by some corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California, for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of said bid and no bid shall be considered unless such cashier's or certified check or bidder's bond in enclosed therewith.
