Lee Valley Park Sprayground Construction: City of Omaha is requesting bids from qualified companies, herein called Bidder, Contractor, Vendor, Supplier, or other pronouns used in their place, for all work and/or goods set forth in the specifications. Requirement for Bid Bond: The surety company issuing the bid bond should be licensed by the State of Nebraska and listed on the current edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond: a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's checks drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the state, payable to City of Omaha, or lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable). LETTERS OF CREDIT ARE NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR A BID BOND AND WOULD BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF BID. Questions Deadline: 6/3/2024 02:00 PM (CT) QUESTIONS: Bidders must submit bid questions in the Questions tab of the bid event. Questions will be answered no later than June 7, 2024. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: A. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor and apparatus necessary for the purchase and installation of the spray ground as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. B. The Contractor shall be responsible for winterizing the spray ground system for the first Winter after installation and starting up the system the following Spring. The contract completion date for this project shall be OCTOBER 31, 2024. All work associated with the project shall be completed on or before this date. All questions regarding the Bid Documents shall be submitted electronically in writing to the Douglas County Purchasing Department via a submission in the “Bid Event’s Questions” tab. Request must be submitted and received by the Douglas County Purchasing Department at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Questions submitted after this date will not be accepted.
