Bids are requested for the annual requirements of the Los Angeles Harbor Department Concrete Cutting Services in accordance with specifications herein and Worksheet Attached to be furnished and delivered as may be upon the execution of the contract for a period of one-year from the date of contract execution, including two, one-year renewal options, subject to the approval of the Executive Director. Prices to include any cost of travel time from contractor's location to worksite and return to contractor's location, or time from one jobsite to another jobsite. A. Concrete Cutting: Services to include gas and electric-powered concrete slab sawing, gasoline and electric-powered asphalt sawing in a straight line, electric and air-powered core drilling, electric and air-powered vertical concrete, brick, stucco, and concrete block wall sawing and flame cutting. B. Cooperation with others: City forces and/or other contractors may be engaged at the worksite(s) on projects other than the work included in this contract. Contractor shall cooperate with the others and coordinate contractor's work with their work in order to expeditiously complete the project. C. Protection of site and furnishings: Contractor is responsible for protection of room surfaces and furnishings from damage, dust, dirt, water and other material during all operations of contractor's work. Contractor shall furnish large enough crew and sufficient equipment to keep water and debris from collecting or flowing to other areas. D. Condition of power source equipment: Contractor's power source equipment shall be in good mechanical condition when brought to the jobsite to prevent damage to walks, driveways and streets caused by leaking water, oil and grease from compressors, generators, and trucks. E. Storage of equipment: Contractor's material and equipment shall be stored and placed to leave passageways clear and cause the least possible interference and damage to City property. F. Final clean-up: All excess materials, equipment, rubbish, debris, and water to be removed from site; all areas used by the contractor to be left clean. Basis For Award: The determination of the best responsive, responsible bidder will be based on a combination of the following: 1. Lowest Price based on following estimated annual usage: 60% Horizontal Work/Gas Concrete Slab, Asphalt Sawing & Electric Slab 30% Electric Core Drilling 10% Vertical Wall Sawing 2. Delivery 3. Submittal of Completed Worksheet The Harbor Department reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, award Bid as a whole, split award or delete line items, as it may deem necessary, unless otherwise stated herein.
