The Los Angeles Tennis Center (LATC) is an approximately 62,000 GSF tennis facility located at 420 Charles E. Young Drive in Los Angeles. A linear dynamic analysis of the stadium was performed to evaluate performance under University of California Seismic Safety Policy requirements. The precast concrete tread riser diaphragms, caissons/footings, and seismic joints were deficient. The evaluation results indicate that the stadium does not satisfy the UC Seismic Safety Policy requirements. The project shall be designed to meet the requirements and intent of the University of California (UC) Regent's Policy on Sustainable Practices to achieve a minimum LEED Gold Rating. The project must also meet the California Energy Code (Title 24) energy efficiency standards and apply sustainability principles wherever possible.
