Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Toms River, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work to be performed under this Contract consists of drainage improvements within Brick Township and Jackson Township. Work includes installation of approximately 1,800 L.F. of 18" RCP, 16" DIP, and 12" to 48" Perforated H.D.P.E. drainage pipe; reconstruction of inlets and installation of 12 new inlets and 6 manholes; the reconstruction of concrete curb, concrete sidewalks, and driveways; and approximately 11,000 S.Y. of HMA milling and paving, including the installation of traffic stripes and markings. Owner Rights: The County has the right to reject any bid not using this revised schedule of quantities. Question Response Deadline:May 30, 2024, 12:00pm Liquidity Damages: For each Calendar Day that the Contractor fails to complete Construction Operations, as specified in Subsection 108.10 of these Special Provisions, for Substantial Completion, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages consisting of Road User Costs and Construction Engineering Costs to the County in the amount of $1,250.00. For each Calendar Day that the Contractor fails to complete the entire Work of the Project as specified in Subsection 108.10 of these Special Provisions, for Completion, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages consisting of Construction Engineering Costs to the County in the amount of $750.00, provided that Construction Operations as specified for Substantial Completion are actually completed. Bond Notes: The proposal when submitted shall be accompanied by a guarantee in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total sum bid, provided such guarantee shall be for no more than twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars. The guarantee may be in one of the following three forms: cashier's check, certified check or Proposal Bond. The guarantee shall be payable to the County of Ocean. In the event that a cashier's check or certified check is used, evidence of ability to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in accordance with Subsection 151.03.01 must also accompany each bid.
