Renovation of a detention facility in Dublin, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Work of this Contract may consist of the following A. Renovation of selected inmate housing cells throughout the jail facility. Work in selected cells (as indicated in the Scope Documents) may include: 1) Demolition/removal of concrete desk and stool 2) Installation of new wall-mounted desk and stool 3) Removal and replacement of penal bubbler at sink 4) Installation of ladder 5) Gap in-fill in space between top bunk bed and wall/window 6) Removal and replacement of shower heads at showers rooms (in each pod) 7) Painting of cell interiors where work is performed B. Installation of penal bubblers at drinking fountains located in common areas of selected housing units. C. Removal and replacement of detention locks in three (3) housing units. D. Removal and replacement of detention locks in administration/processing area. E. Preparation, painting touch up, and finish clean in all work areas. Estimated Award Date 09/19/2024 Question Deadline 08/13/2024 at 5:00 PM PT The time to complete this project is One Thousand Sixty-Eight (1,095) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess the following State of California Contractor Licenses: B - General Contractors License The Bidder license must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the County, cash, or a cashier s check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the County of Alameda, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received . The Work of this Contract may consist of the following: A. Question Deadline 07/18/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing, including by e-mail, to County. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by County in response to such questions will be issued in writing by Addenda faxed, mailed, or delivered to all parties recorded by County as having received the Contract Documents. Questions received less than FOURTEEN (14) calendar days prior to the date for opening Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
