The Sites of the Work consists of six (6) locations in the City of Las Vegas, including 3300 North Tenaya Way, 7100 West Alexander Road, 2625 North Tenaya Way, 8155 West Charleston Boulevard, 2300 Rock Springs Drive, and 2121 North Jones Boulevard. The Work consists of the construction of ten backflow prevention assemblies at six locations on existing District domestic and fire services. The work also includes removal of existing detector check valves, vault abandonments, and restoration of existing above grade improvements. Bidder and all its Subcontractors must be appropriately licensed in the State of Nevada in accordance with applicable state law. In addition, prior to applying for a license, a corporation must be registered with the Nevada Secretary of State. The Nevada State Contractors' Board (NSCB) indicates that the licensing process can take 90 Days or more. In the event of joint ventures, each venture partner must be licensed, and unless each joint venturer has an unlimited license, the joint venturer must have an additional license for acting in the capacity of such joint venture. Contact the NSCB for additional requirements for joint venture licensing. In accordance with Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 338.1475, the Contract shall not be awarded to a person who, at the time of the Bid, is not properly licensed or if the amount of the Bid exceeds the limits of the Bidder's license. If, after awarding the Contract, but before commencement of the Work, the Owner discovers that the person to whom the Contract was awarded is not properly licensed or that the Contract would exceed the person's license, the Owner shall rescind the award of the Contract and may accept the next lowest Bid for the Work from a responsive and responsible bidder without requiring that new Bids be submitted. the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including, without limitation, the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. The Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities. Bids will be evaluated as prescribed by the Contract Documents and Nevada State law.
