Base Bid: The project consists principally of the replacement of an existing suction lift pump station with a new submersible pump station including the replacement of the wet well and interior components, installation of new submersible pumps, installation of a new valve vault and installation of piping, valves, and other appurtenances. The project also includes installation of a new pump control panel, and quick connection for bypass pumping. The successful bidder(s) must self-perform at a minimum 50% of the contracted work. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Town of Irondequoit is exempt under New York State Tax law, and therefore, no sales tax on the cost of materials incorporated into the project shall be included in the bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and material bonds in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Town of Irondequoit reserves the right to consider bids for forty-five (45) days after the receipt before awarding any contract. The Town of Irondequoit further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its best interests.
