Renovation of a municipal facility in Thomasville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Project has been awarded but award amount not confirmed. Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. Project Description: The Project consists of the following: The complete tear-off of the existing roof system including the asphaltic shingles, the underlying moisture barrier, damaged or faulty roof wood substrate, all penetration flashing and any fasteners in the substrate. This is applicable to the areas currently shingled and not the low-pitched areas over the front entry. The Work to Be Done Shall Consist of Furnishing All Labor, Materials, and Equipment Necessary to Remove the Existing Asphaltic Shingles and Underlying Moister Barrier, Replace Any Damaged or Faulty Wood Substrate, Repair or Replace Damaged or Deficient Valley and Eave Drip, Replace All Flashings at Various Penetrations, Install a New Moisture Barrier and Roof Layer of Architectural Shingles. Question Deadline: 06/13/2024 at 10:00 AM ET, Questions from the bidders and responses will be posted on online To view responses on the website, click on Work, and then click on Bid Opportunities. Responses will be posted no later than June 17, 2024 by close of business. Bids Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the Amount of Not Less Than 10% of the Bid. If Awarded the Contract, Bidder Will Submit Separate Payment & Performance Bond Each for 100% of the Contract Amount. Any damaged wood substrate must be replaced. All substrate should be examined to affirm proper attachment to the underlying structure and secured if needed. The copper eave drip, valley and wall flashings shall be examined for any voids, damage, or deficiencies and repaired or corrected as needed. A liner of self-adhering roof underlayment shall be installed parallel to the valley trough. A new synthetic moisture barrier shall be installed below all areas of the roof to receive shingles. A new roof system consisting of architectural asphaltic shingles shall be installed. All penetration flashings are to be replaced and all other items not listed here shall be addressed to provide a complete roof system. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. A Notice to Proceed and shall be executed with the Successful bidder within 60 days of the bid opening. The contract work period shall not exceed 60 days. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Project Location: 111 Victoria Place, Thomasville, Georgia. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bidders' Questions: Owner will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders' questions received up to three business days prior to conference The City of Thomasville, Ga Reserves the Right to Reject Any & All Bids, to Waive Informalities, to Re-advertise, &/or to Award the Contract in the Best Interest of the City.
