Renovation of a fire / police facility in Clovis, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, to remove existing flooring and install new MSI Surfaces 8 " inches X 48 " inches Cottage Brown Porcelain Wood Tile flooring to match existing flooring in the Main Bathroom or a comparable in price high traffic commercial grade tile that matches the existing flooring. If an alternative tile is to be used, the contractor shall be required to provide a minimum of three (3) different options that are comparable in price, similar material that match the existing flooring, and must be commercial high traffic grade. All materials shall be approved by the CAL FIRE Project Manager prior to services. Delivery, set up, installations, disassembling, removal, and disposal shall be included. The DVBE Participation Program applies, and a three percent (3%) goal is required for this IFB. The DVBE Incentive Program may also apply to this IFB. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 1, in this IFB for requirements. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), and contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of 25 percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs or MBs (if applicable);are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 2, in this IFB for requirements. This contract requires Prevailing Wages if the total bid amount exceeds $1,000.00. If the total bid amount is under $1,000.00, then Prevailing Wage language will be removed prior to award. Refer to Sample Standard Agreement, for requirement details. In the opinion of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), this IFB is complete and without need of explanation. All questions should be emailed in writing to gilbert.delpasen@fire.ca.gov. NO QUESTIONS will be entertained after June 03, 2024. Written Question Submittal June 03, 2024 05:00 p.m. Payment Bond (STD 807) Requirement: If the successful bidder's bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. No work may commence without receipt of a valid Payment Bond. The Payment Bond must be in effect at all times for the duration of the Agreement. If the Payment Bond expires during the term of the Agreement, a new Payment Bond must be provided to the CAL FIRE representative not less than 10 business days prior to its expiration. Failure to maintain a Payment Bond for the full term of this Agreement will be grounds for termination for default in addition to other legal remedies CAL FIRE may have. Inadequate or lack of a Payment Bond does not negate the Contractor's obligations under this Agreement.
