Description

Site work and new construction of a civil project in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Construction of a 12 MGD capacity raw water intake to draw water from the Willbrook Canal at a site located 450 ft. from the existing Sandy Island WTP Raw Water Pumping Station (RWPS). The intake structure is reinforced concrete construction. The work also consists of construction of a 24-inch DIP and 4-inch HDPE pipe to convey screened raw water and compressed air to/from new intake and the existing RWPS. This project is being funding in whole or in part by SCIIP.
