Site work for a water / sewer project in Albany, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project will include improvements to unit treatment process associated with the North Plant. Phase 1 of the project will include replacement of the mechanical screens, grit system, primary and secondary clarifiers, plant water pumps and upgrades to the high voltage electrical system. Upgrades have been identified in a 2023 Capital Study that is currently being finalized. Grouping projects together will allow the District to maximize the potential for grant opportunities in the coming years. The project is include in the Albany County's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
