Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Albany, New York. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

As of July 9, 2024, no plans to rebid. Project is no longer needed. The UAS Storage Building is a new Pre-Engineered Metal Building to be constructed on an open site near the University Police Department Building. The existing site is open. The scope of work includes the new metal building, overhead coiling doors, doors, frames and hardware, wire mesh partitions, power, lighting fire alarm and data/ security systems. Sitework includes a new driveway from Justice Drive, new power service and data fiber from the UPD building. All work on this Contract shall be substantially complete no later than April 20, 2025, and fully complete by May 20, 2025. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $1,000,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from the Wicks Law.
